I’m Shauna, the Creative Marketing Director at BFROW. Just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself here—share a little bit about who I am, what I do, and why I do it.

Here are some quick facts about me:

  • I've bounced around! I grew up and went to college in Tucson, AZ; lived in a small town in Arkansas for 1.5 years; lived in St. Louis for 3 years; and now I've been in Los Angeles for the last 1.5 years (and love it so much!)
  • Though I'm a creative professional, I studied Marketing and Entrepreneurship at the University of Arizona, so my creative projects are always rooted in analysis and business strategy.
  • I’m the 3rd of 6 kids, aka no amount of noise fazes me.
  • Since the ‘rona hit, I’ve been on a chicken tenders diet, and highly recommend it.
  • …however, let’s not forget about the true LOML, Taco Bell 💘
  • I looooove thrifting and vintage clothing—I feel weird if I’m not wearing at least 1 vintage piece. Also, probably 90% of my apartment is decorated in vintage furnishings (I'll add a photo below!)

I have spent nearly 7 years building brands in entertainment, education, consumer packaged goods, fashion, tech startups, venture capital, and small business. Simply put, I love making brands look and sound their best. One day I'll share more details about my path, but to keep this short and sweet: most recently, I was the Head of Marketing for a mobile app startup called LIVIT. There, I built the marketing team and strategy, led the company through a rebrand, and creative directed national campaigns.

As the Creative Marketing Director, I work on anything creative—both written and visual. That includes our website, content, campaigns, and newsletter. However, since BFROW is a startup, we have an all-hands-on-deck mentality, meaning we all wear a lot of hats, and do whatever needs to be done!

I love BFROW because I wish I’d had this sort of resource sooner in my career. We're building a community that benefits both creatives and brands. I’ve been on both sides of this—the creative looking for a job AND the person looking to hire a creative, both of which are so much more challenging than they should be. BFROW solves both of these problems. It's SO needed, and I’m proud to be a part of building it!

That's all about me for now! What about you? Introduce yourself in the comments below!

She's got an old soul: probably around 90% of my home decor is vintage
