DIY Hair Mask for Growth and Strengthening
For the past month or so, my hair has been falling out like crazy. I needed to clean out my shower drain every single time I showered because it was clogged *gross*. I did some reading on hair thickening and growth solutions and this was the most effective one. I tried it out, and within a week my hair has become noticeably stronger. I have noticed a significant difference in the amount of hair that falls out in the shower and when I comb it out. As usual, products are linked!
You Will Need: 2 eggs
Shower Cap/Cling Wrap
Jamaican Black Castor Oil
How to:Mix the eggs and olive oil. I don't have an exact ratio, but you can tell when the consistency is spreadable. If there's too much olive oil, it'll run down your face, and if there's too little, you won't be able to get it all over your hair.
Put it all over dry hair and work it into your roots especially. It's important that your hair be completely dry but clean, so the mixture will absorb. Wrap your hair and leave in for 1 hour. You don't need to heat for it to work. I was too scared to end up with cooked egg in my hair. In the last 5-10 minutes. Mix coconut oil and castor oil. I used roughly 3 parts coconut oil and 1 part castor oil. Heat it in the microwave until the coconut oil is completely melted and the mixture is homogenous. Rinse out the olive oil and egg mixture with warm water. Don't shampoo. Towel dry and work the coconut oil and castor oil mixture into your roots. Make sure to really massage your scalp to get all the blood flowing. Leave in overnight and shampoo in the morning.
This is amazing for hair loss or dry brittle hair. Not to mention that castor oil helps stimulate hair growth for those of you who want those long luscious locks! My hair feels softer, stronger, and healthier, and I promise it doesn't weigh your hair down or leave any gross residue!
