A catalyst for animation talent and a uniter of mediums and art forms CTNX is ‘the’ platform for future and existing content creators and filmmakers. The annual meeting of the Creative Talent Network membership, open to the public and now 10 years old, in 2018 we welcomed a combined 10,000+ attendees and participants along with large iconic studios, small studios, filmmakers and independent creators. With a highly targeted audience, CTN is located in Burbank CA the only city on the planet with more animation studios per square mile bringing city wide involvement and media outlets from around the globe. In fact, over the course of 10 years, our event has seen 150,000+ future storytellers and media arts creators come through our doors who have gone on to create award winning new films, direct for major studios and develop one of a kind IP.

Sneak peeks of new and exciting content. Animator Career Camps and Incubators. The most creative event on the planet for this group.

For our twelve incarnation we are shaking things up a bit. We’ve changed our ticketing structure to try to simplify your weekend and maximize your time and the opportunities so you, our valued CTNX attendees, can see and experience everything CTN has to offer. With larger theaters and better scheduling all designed to enhance, change or launch your career trajectory.

As a membership community we may have built CTNX from scratch together and whoever you are and wherever you are at in your career - legend, professional, junior, intern, highschool , college or janitor – the potential for professional growth with CTN is utterly unprecedented. We are proud to announce that the CTN animation eXpo in Burbank was voted as the 1st runner up for the category “The Best Animation Event” in the “Best of Awards hosted by Animation Magazine” for 2018. Literally hundreds of thousands of subscribers vote and the winner was “The Annecy Film Festival” in France with first runner up being CTN. With thousands of animation events and festivals held around the world we are so proud that together we are the 1st runner up. The Creative Talent Network®------ Putting the Talent Center Stage

BACKSTORY

Thirteen years ago, the majority of traditional and digital creators in the global animation industry were ‘in-house’ with long term contracts working collaboratively and together as a team for years but due to layoffs, social media, outsourcing and other business model changes the industry became less ‘in-house artists’ and more of a nomad lifestyle independently bouncing from job to job. People worked short term in-house or in complete isolation without a sense of community or purpose. CTN membership brings unity.

CTN founder Tina Price – is an award winning animation professional with an entrepreneurial streak. After 23 years at Disney and a victim to one of the largest layoffs in animation history she saw an opportunity to bring together this inspired breed of independent creators for a membership community driven annual creativity-infused event chock full of inspiration.

Tina wanted the world to know that these artists not only are brilliant and that they exist as a community but she had the goal to create a neutral home for collaboration, ideas, relationships and, most importantly opportunities for their future to take shape.

Today, CTNX draws the global animation talent community from 16 countries and is the leading conference and festival of its kind in the world.

We are so proud that these great talents chose to be associated with CTN from 2009-2019: Ronald Searle, Moebius, Drew Struzan, Sebastian Kruger, Kim Jung Gi, Carlos Nine, Gerald Scarfe, Pablo Lobato, Richard Edlund, Tomer Honuka, Frank Pe, Jordi Lefebre, Oscar Grillo, Kobe Bryant, Juanjo Guarnido, John Musker, William Joyce, Chris Montan, Ree Treweek, Toby Froud, Phil Tippet, Pierre Lambert, Ted Thomas, Floyd Norman, Burny Mattison, William Wray, Regis Loisel, Jim Blinn, Glen Keane, Mike Mignola, Kevin Lima, Brenda Chapman, Syd Mead, Andreas Deja, Pete Doctor, Ed Binkley and more.

"I can’t believe this all started with a book expo in a hot tent outside of Van Eaton gallery. Actually the first one was inside with about 10 artists and I was lucky to be one of those!! " ~David Colman

"It’s truly a pleasure to collaborate with you Tina through the years and an honor to have been part of CTN since day 1. But most of all, Bing and I are so blessed by your friendship. Looking forward to CTNX10 as we celebrate Mulan20!" ~Armand Serrano
